The land has become hard due to which its water holding capacity is getting reduced, that is why there is a lot of need for irrigation in agriculture as compared to earlier, which is having a very bad effect on the ground water level, the ground water level is continuously going down. That is, if it is not stopped, then potable water will not be left for us in the near future.
On the other hand, this chemical is flowing along with the rain water and reaching the river drains, puddles and lakes, which is having a bad effect on the aquatic life.
In order to deal with the above problems, SPL Grameen Utthan Samiti was formed in the year 2010, whose task was to make the farmers aware to switch from chemical farming to organic farming and to develop an integrated market for organic production. With the aim of developing a market for the organic produce of the farmer members of the organization, a firm named “Ayana Food and Organic” was formed, which does the work of processing, packaging, marketing of farmers’ produce and home delivery by the name Sitarsoi. It is working to reach people’s homes through the medium.
